Setup Development: Names
You use the Names tab to add a unique name to each of the headings. Each heading must have a unique name.
GEOVIA MineSched provides you with many tools that assist you when naming your headings. For example, you can use the Heading names data grid and 3D Canvas to group headings and name them simultaneously. You can also filter and locate the specific headings that you want to rename using the visibility constraint tools.
There is a relationship between the 3D Canvas and the Heading names data grid that can be useful to you when you are trying to locate a heading that you want to rename.
If you want to know where a heading, that you can see in the data grid, is located within the design, move the pointer over the heading row to see the heading highlighted in the 3D Canvas.
If you want to know the details of a heading you are examining in the 3D Canvas, choose Select mode and then move the pointer over the heading to see a floating tooltip display and the heading entry highlighted in the data grid.
In addition, you can use the Show only canvas selection function to filter the headings that are displayed in the Heading names data grid. If the filter is selected, only headings that are selected in the 3D Canvas are displayed in the Heading names data grid.
You can also indirectly constrain the data in the 3D Canvas so that it is easier for you to identify and select headings. The visibility constraint tools and indirect selection tools that you can use to constrain the data are available in a toolbar at the top of the 3D Canvas.
